Charney Manor is a thirteenth Century Manor House found in the Oxfordshire Countryside. It has been established as a Conference and retreat centre for over 40 years. Charney offers an attractive rural setting, spacious grounds and a very unique atmosphere, which makes it an ideal venue for Day Conferences, away-days, Residential Retreats and Bed & Breakfast stays.
We have two large beautiful and historic meeting rooms. The Solar, accommodating 30 people and the Barn, accommodating 45 people with wheel chair access. There are also three smaller meeting rooms that can be used as break out rooms. Our Conference rooms offer Lovely views, flexible seating, presentation aids and WIFI.
Charney Manor offers simple, comfortable accommodation of single and twin bedrooms where we are able to accommodate up to 35 residential guests on a full occupancy basis. Majority of our bedrooms are ensuite, with two having private bathrooms. All bedrooms come equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, towels, complimentary shower gel and most have exquisite views of the gardens. For larger groups, we can extend our accommodation to include the Gillett’s cottage, this will increase our Guest accommodation to sleep 43 in total.
Charney Manor is renowned for its high quality,traditional home cooked meals. We are passionate about striving to consistently produce fabulous food from the best ingredients available. We offer a continental breakfast as standard and our Lunch and Evening meals consist of two courses with a choice of desserts. All our meals are freshly prepared to the highest quality and are cooked on site.
Charney Manor is surrounded by 3 acres of beautiful grounds that includes a sheep paddock, a secret garden, a fruit orchard and tranquil seating areas, which all guests are welcome to explore and enjoy during their time at the Manor.
As well as guests being able to participate in a variety of local Countryside walks, starting at the Manor. There are also places of interest near by. The White Horse Hill, located in the small village of Uffington, which is incredible site to see. There is also the historic Oxford and Kelmscott Manor a short distance away.
