As a new entrepreneur one of the things I am struggling with is time management. It was much easier knowing that I am working from 9am to 5pm and from there going home or doing whatever.  As an entrepreneur there really are no set working hours,  when you’re doing what you’re passionate about you end up working 24/7.

One of my goals this year was to “spend more time with God” and by that I mean more dedicated time for one-on-one dialogue. Of course God is with me during the day and we converse but there’s nothing like sitting down with your loved one and spending quality time  together.

Here are a few tips on how to make time during your busy schedule:

  1. Create a routine – Have a set time every morning where you meet with God. This is not a bad thing, although it seems rigid but you need to learn to create good habits in order to conquer the bad habits.  The bible said Jesus went up the the hill in the morning to a solitary place to pray to God – Mark 1:35.
  2. Invest in an audio bible. Do you prefer audio than reading? That makes you and me. Why not have the word read to you. During your quiet time and even when you are on the move commuting from meeting to meeting . The word of God is your daily bread and you honestly can’t afford to not read it, chew it and use it.
  3. Join a Virtual fellowship group. I have a what’s app prayer group for ladies, we are all from different parts of the world and it has been a big blessing. We encourage and fellowship with one another during the  day, wherever we are. Share prayer points, scriptures, testimonies you name it.

These are just a few tips on how you can create Time for God during your hustle and bustle. Honestly, we have no excuse. If God was to not create time for us where would we be? Ask God for wisdom on how to manage your time better in order to excel in all areas of your life.

God first in everything.
